Myers-Briggs And Me ...

I've taken the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator several times. I am quite firmly an INFJ.

I'm watching the debate between Obama and McCain. It's almost painful for me to observe this exchange.

I just Googled my type and found this bit of description about conflict:

"They are very sensitive to conflict, and cannot tolerate it very well. Situations which are charged with conflict may drive the normally peaceful INFJ into a state of agitation or charged anger."

Yup.

I've taken the Myers-Briggs test several times (I used to be a psychology minor--go figure) and I generally turn out an INFJ. I can't say I don't tolerate conflict very well, as I love to argue, but I can see how the type usually holds true for me. I am definitely more introverted than extroverted (although I never had a real problem socialising).

I watched the debate Thursday and enjoyed it. Personally, I thought McCain came off very badly....

I sometimes feel this way about conflict but only in things like television shows or movies. Isn't that odd? I'm an attorney so I suppose it is fair to say that, in general, I don't have a problem with conflict.

This made me curious so I took the test. I came up an ISTJ. But not by huge margins, overall:

Introverted (I) 57% Extraverted (E) 43%
Sensing (S) 59% Intuitive (N) 41%
Thinking (T) 65% Feeling (F) 35%
Judging (J) 59% Perceiving (P) 41%

By the way - nice to meet you! And thank you for your comment on my blog.
