For The Love Of God, People ...

It's "millennium."

M-I-L-L-E-N-N-I-U-M.

Two Ls, two Ns. (Two Ms and two Is, for that matter, but not next to each other.)

If I see one more billboard, street sign, or service vehicle with "millennium" misspelled on it, I'm gonna lose it.

Some might argue that I already have.

You don't even have to haul out the dictionary to look it up. Run spell-check. Done.

These poor spellers are kind of behind the times. Wasn't the millennium like five years ago? (Or I guess since you live in Chi-town they could be talking about the Millennium Towers.)

You would think, Kim, that with all the Y2K business, people would have learned how to spell it, but no. Even then, even when Y2K was a news story every day, I saw a zillion news graphics with "millennium" misspelled, too.
